I’m Dr. Girma Tilahun, Vice President for Research and Community Engagement at Mizan-Tepi University. With over 19 years of experience in academia, research, and leadership, my work focuses on climate-smart agriculture, food security, and sustainable development.
Growing up in Ethiopia inspired my passion for helping smallholder farmers adapt to climate change through practical, science-based solutions. I’ve published 15 + peer-reviewed articles and actively mentor students and researchers.
Beyond my professional life, I enjoy reading, mentoring, cycling, photography, and swimming, finding balance between science and creativity.
